I primarily worked out with Billy Chavez in the ring, but I got in a few rounds with Rollin. Both of these champs really are top-level boxers. What they do for the kids in Central Phoenix—especially ones who don’t have a father figure in their life—is special.
Rollin is kind of an imposing looking figure. He looks kind of scary, but he’s a soft-spoken, good-hearted guy who really does care about developing disadvantaged kids in Phoenix. Rollin got involved in boxing as a way out of the situation and small town that he was in. His gym, Top Level Boxing, doesn’t have the most up-to-date equipment in it, but it doesn’t matter. Rollin, his boxing trainers, and his uncle Jerry provide kids and adults one-on-one boxing attention and a great family atmosphere.
