A woman dentist can be two things: who and what she wants. The Arizona Dental Association’s (AzDA’s) vision behind developing Women in Dentistry was to create a supportive, collaborative community centered around the needs, strengths, and challenges that women dentists face. It includes a professional learning component as well as social opportunities. Women in Dentistry is all about bringing dentists together, so it is open to all women dentists in Arizona—both Arizona Dental Association members and non-members.

Dr. Jeanette MacLean joined Affiliated Children’s Dental Specialists in 2005 and became an owner in 2007. Dr. MacLean is internationally recognized as an expert and advocate for silver diamine fluoride (SDF) and minimally invasive dentistry. She has been appointed to the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry’s Speakers Bureau, and has provided lectures across the United States and Canada, as well as webinars viewed in 39 countries. Dr. MacLean is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, one of only two Board Certified pediatric dentists in Glendale, Arizona. Her research has been published in the journal Pediatric Dentistry, the official publication of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She has been featured in the New York Times, Good Morning Arizona, Phoenix Magazine Top Dentists, written articles for Dentaltown magazine, been featured on KTAR New Talk Radio’s The Agenda, the Howard Speaks dental podcast series, has appeared on AZTV’s Kids Corner and is a spokesperson for the Delta Dental of Arizona Foundation. She is also an active member of the Central Arizona Dental Society, the Arizona Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the Arizona Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
