This is a video that pairs the Dentsply Sirona Cavitron 300 with the Purevac HVE. Special thanks to Katrina Sanders, RDH for her help, as well as AZPerio for allowing us to use their operatory. Katrina is a high-energy, engaging, and accomplished dental speaker who speaks nationwide. Because of COVID-19, the Coronavirus, this video’s popularity has gone up quite a bit. How much does it cost for a dental office video?
I am not a dental hygienist, but having been in the dental profession since 2010, I was genuinely impressed with this innovation from Dentsply Sirona. The ability for an RDH to use high-volume evacuation along with using a dental mirror is genius. The Purevac is lightweight and easy to work with, and the curved design makes it comfortable for dental hygienists and their patients.
We filmed a fair amount of footage of the unit—enough that the patient could have used a bite block, but he did just fine (in part thanks to the patient-friendly design of the Purevac).
As a last and perhaps funny note, it’s a good thing I don’t order dental equipment because I didn’t get an exact price on the Purevac, but it sounds like what I thought it would/should cost was exponentially higher than the actual cost.
