Director’s notes in filming a video for Dr. James Nachbar and Scottsdale Plastic Surgery:
It was an honor working with plastic surgeon Dr. Nachbar and his team in Scottsdale, as well as having DP Corey Seese’s help on the shoot. There are definitely similarities between a dental / medical video—definitely some differences too 
Most of the time, treatment/procedures are simulated in these kinds of promo videos. The footage of the Botox injection and the rhinoplasty in this video—yep, it’s real. This video was rereleased in Sep 2018 after I’d filmed actual OR plastic surgery Dr. Nachbar performed in Scottsdale.
Dr. Nachbar and his surgical team were kind and attentive toward me. After learning this was the first surgery I’d filmed, they gave me a granola bar, water, and some good advice before the the procedure began…maybe they just wanted to make sure I didn’t throw up or pass out on the floor!
Nope, I didn’t have any problems while filming, (no lightheadedness or anything like that).

Dr. James Nachbar is a double-board-certified plastic surgeon, certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery, practicing in Scottsdale, AZ, since 1995. He does all of his own consultations, not delegating them to a staff member, and does all of the injections himself.
